Red-stained timber side-hinged doors that had rotted along the bottom rail, replaced with an anthracite up-and-over. The pitched box-profile roof and new fascia went on at the same time.

What we do
We fit and repair garage doors, and we replace the roofs and cladding above them. Alongside that we do front doors, side doors and windows — the same trade, the same measuring, and usually the same visit.
Most of our work is domestic and most of it comes from people who have had a door stop working, or who have looked at the garage once too often and decided it has to be dealt with.
Who you are dealing with
Six years in the trade, learnt from scratch on the tools with two established firms before setting up on our own. That is where the habit of measuring twice and telling people what a door will not do comes from.
We hold an NVQ Level 2 Diploma in the installation and maintenance of door, gate and shutter systems, and renew our asbestos awareness training every year — which matters more than it sounds on garages of a certain age.
How we work
We measure before we price. The quote is written down and itemised, so you can see what the door costs, what the operator costs, and what the groundwork costs. Nothing is ordered until you have said yes to that.
We will also tell you when not to spend money. If a door can be repaired rather than replaced, that is what we will say, because a repair you are happy with is worth more than a sale you are not.
What we will not do
We do not cold call, we do not do same-day-only discounts, and we do not quote a price that expires at midnight. If a firm has to rush you, the price was never real.
